Wisconsin Gets Online
As we've already mentioned on this blog, there is a current push, sponsored by the NRA and other g
roups, in Wisconsin to pass a referendum calling for the return of the death penalty in a state which has not had it on the books since the 1850s. Obviously, this threatens to break the momentum of victory after victory (moratoria in Illinois and New Jersey, abolition in New York, and the exclusion of the mentally retarded and juveniles) which the abolition movement has enjoyed over the last five or six years.
